Enjoy an unforgettable tour of ancient Herculaneum which is considered to be one of the most spectacular and well-preserved sites in the world.

During the visit you will learn how the ancient inhabitants of the Vesuvian area spent their time discussing philosophical matters in Oscan, Greek or Latin.

You will also know the difference between the rich commercial city of Pompeii and the opulent and elegant Herculaneum.

The guided tour of the ancient Herculaneum allows you to see splendid homes where the charred wood is still in place and well preserved. We will see furniture, wooden windows, sliding doors, beautiful mosaics and frescoes, gardens and shops, some still with the original furnishings kept inside. We will visit the thermal complex with its magnificent mosaic floors, and we will learn how the wealthy ancient inhabitants relaxed within these well-heated environments.
We will observe the mastery of the artists who created marble statues and reliefs, magnificent colored mosaics and frescoes that continue to amaze the whole world. And we will admire the fabulous gold or silver jewels that the goldsmiths made with advanced techniques that still amaze visitors today.
To fully enjoy the visit of ancient Herculaneum it is preferable to go to the archaeological park in the morning.
The tour starts at 10.00 am and the meeting place is the ticket office area.
